2020 China International Paper Technology Exhibition and Conference (CIPTE) jointly organized by China Paper Association (CPA), China Technical Association of Paper Industry (CTAPI) and China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CNPPRI), managed by China Pulp and Paper Magazines Publisher was held in Suzhou International Expo Centre, China on September 23rd—25th, 2020.
2020 CIPTE was a centralized appearance of the paper industry, covering many advanced intelligent technologies and solutions from raw materials to production process and terminal products, covering a wide range, involving multiple levels and rich contents. It provided a platform for communication and exchange between upstream and downstream industries, bringing together many well-known paper making equipment, paper chemicals and paper-related enterprises.
Industry Leaders Cut Ribbon to Open the Exhibition Grandly
On September 23rd, Mr. Cao Zhenlei, chairman of CTAPI; Mr. Zhao Wei, chairman of CPA and Mr. Cao Chunyu, president of CNPPRI cut the ribbon jointly and officially opened 2020 CIPTE.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhao Wei, chairman of CPA, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizers. He pointed out that, the year 2020 is an extraordinary year. The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has a great impact on the economy and society. At present, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, great achievements have been made in prevention and control of COVID-19, and the economic and social development of paper industry has also gradually recovered from the impact of the epidemic. Considering the influence of COVID-19 on paper industry, building safe and reliable supply chain and industrial chain is greatly important, applications of internet and artificial intelligence in production are more urgent, and all enterprises need to improve the core competitiveness through upgrading automation level and realizing remote control, especially domestic manufacturers. The continuous innovation of papermaking and paper machinery industries will be the inexhaustible driving force of the enterprises' sustainable development.

Innovation and Development Forum: Started "Brainstorming"
As one of the brand activities of CIPTE, the 2020 China International Paper Innovation and Development Forum with the theme of “Innovate to Seek Opportunities, Develop Against the Trend”, jointly organized by CTAPI, CPA and CNPPRI, managed by China Pulp and Paper Magazines Publisher, and co-organized by Shandong Jiefeng Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jiefeng Machinery) and Shanghai Dongsheng New Material Co., Ltd. was held on September 23rd.
The guests focused on the crisis management, 5G transformation, new infrastructure opportunities in the post epidemic era, as well as the new situation of market adjustment, consumption changes, raw material shortage, plastic abatement and replacement imposed to paper industry, etc., and focused on hot topics such as industrial chain reconstruction, supply chain optimization and value chain improvement for paper-making enterprises, made a wonderful sharing. Nearly 300 guests from leaders, experts, authoritative scholars, well-known entrepreneurs of paper and relative industries attended the forum.
Multiple activities
During the event, President Cao Chunyu and Executive Director Zhang Qixiang, on behalf of CNPPRI and Jiefeng Machinery respectively, signed a cooperation agreement of jointly setting up Pulp Equipment R & D Center of Pulp and Paper National Engineering Laboratory.
The establishment of the Pulp Equipment R & D Center of Pulp and Paper National Engineering Laboratory is based on the common expectations for the future of the paper industry, which give full play to their respective advantages. CNPPRI is a state-level professional research institution. Jiefeng Machinery is China’s well-known professional pulp and papermaking equipment manufacturing enterprise. By reaching strategic cooperation and utilizing the technical advantages of both sides, the two sides will jointly carry out the research and development of pulp preparation equipment and the industrialization of technology, thus contributing to the technological progress of China's papermaking equipment and the high quality development of China's paper industry.
In the fight against the epidemic, the paper industry, preventing and controlling scientifically, resuming work and production orderly, have achieved the stable development. In order to express the respect for the outstanding suppliers of paper industry, which have emerged from the many partners of the 2020 CIPTE, and have cooperated and worked together with the paper enterprises industry and , CIPTE organizing committee specially awarded the "Outstanding Partner of Paper Industry Supplier 2020". There were 15 papermaking equipment and chemical enterprises won the award, Chairman Cao Zhenlei and Chairman Zhao Wei gave awards to the award-winning enterprises.
A New Chapter in Building the Future
2021 CIPTE will be held in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on August 11th—13th, 2021, and we are looking forward to seeing you in Shanghai.
CIPTE has been organized for several years, which has become a great event of international papermaking week. Its activities include large-scale paper show, innovation forum, technology conference and technical seminars. The CIPTE is not only a centralized display of advanced products and technologies in the whole industry chain of paper industry, but also a large gathering of elitists of paper industry, it has become the important platform for many enterprises to promote products, develop new markets, maintain customer relationships, and to understand the development trend of the industry.
