August is the mid of Summer and the time that full of enthusiasm. The domestic and foreign, upstream and downstream paper industry colleagues gathered together in Shanghai, jointly went ahead for the 2023 China International Paper Technology Exhibition(hereinafter referred to as 2023 CIPTE) and conference.
On August 13rd, the welcome dinner of 2023 CIPTE and China International Paper Innovation Forum(sponsored by Shanghai Qingliang Industry Co., Ltd.) was held ceremoniously at Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Hotel. More than 500 people attended our welcome banquet. They are some leaders and experts from paper associations, technical association of paper industry and scientific research institutions in various provinces and cities. And some colleagues from upstream and downstream industry, such as pulp and paper making, intelligent equipment, chemicals and so on. Many media friends presented the welcome dinner party, too.

Dr. Cao Zhenlei, President of the council of China Technical Association of Paper Industry, first expressed his gratitude to the guests who participated in the welcome dinner of 2023 CIPTE and China International Paper Innovation(sponsored by Shanghai Qingliang Industry Co., Ltd.). They are some industry leaders, experts, colleagues and entrepreneurs who actively involved and gave vigorous support.
Zhenlei Cao said that 2023 CIPTE is popular. Many talents and guests attended our exhibition, and new breakthroughs have been made both in the number of exhibitors and visitors. The Chairman analyzed the problems and opportunities faced by the paper industry in recent years from a macro level and a strategic perspective. He pointed out that the development of China’s economy and industry is in a state of recovery and a trend of improvement.
At present, China’s paper industry is in an important strategic period of accelerating innovation, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality transformation, and intelligent upgrading. People who apply themselves to paper industry should be brave in the face of difficulties with a high spirit. Keling Wang, the deputy secretary of CPC Party Committee and General manager of Poly Sinolight, said in his speech that the paper industry is a significant part of the light industry and it is a crucial basic raw material industry related to the national economy and people’s wellbeing, too.

The carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategy has become a crucial strategic task for the current development of China, which not only injected new vitality into the industry, but also indicated the direction for the transformation of enterprises. As a national professional scientific research and service institution, China International Pulp and Paper Research Institute has been committed to the inheritance and innovation of paper technology. This Research Institute is an significant force to improve the sustainable development of China’s paper industry. On the basis of joint authoritative, advantageous institutions and resources of all parties, China International Pulp and Paper Research Institute established the “Paper industry carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategic center” with the Paper industry Productivity Promotion Center as the carrier.
